KUA-PPAS Review at Commission A Completed

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission A has completed review about City Budget (APBD) General Policy and Provisional Budget Priorities and Funding Levels (KUA-PPAS) 2020 together with Regional Apparatuses Organizations (OPD) in the field of governance.

There are things we want to restore, thus we hope they don't be too efficient for things related to public interest

Commission A Vice Chairman, Inggard Joshua stated, Commission A ensures the rationalization of the budget designed by the Executive. Besides, Councillors also provide inputs and resident's aspirations that haven't been realized.

Commission A Reviews Gulkarmat Proposals in KUA-PPAS 2020

"KUA-PPAS review is done. There are some suggestion from us such as standardization in developing urban village and sub-district to be a priority program as mentioned in RPJMD," he asserted at Jakarta DPRD Building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (6/11).

In this chance, he also expects executives to consider programs that give direct benefits to residents to be not removed.

"There are things we want to restore, thus we hope they don't be too efficient for things related to public interests," he mentioned.

During KUA-PPAS meeting, he assessed, Councillors ensured all the programs to give benefits to Jakarta residents.

"We must compare between the benefits and expenditure then ensure it is fit," he added.

One of his inputs to Pamong Praja Police Unit (Satpol PP) is related to sidewalk sterilization towards street vendors (PKL)s.

"It is the realization of Perda No. 8/2007 about Public Order. Thus I suggest them to buy land near the crowd for PKL or UKM in form of Lokbin or maybe shopping centers," he explained.

Sidewalk widening project, he continued, shouldn't be misused for a place to trade or illegal parking. Thus it should be guarded optimally by Satpol PP personnel.

"We hope the comfort sidewalk can encourage more people to use it for short distance. While for long distance to use public transportation," he conveyed.
